Kelsey Brookes... two words, one name, one dope dude. This artist, who cites “sex, comedy and animals” as inspiration, never went to art school but instead chose to continue to keep moving forward with his own aesthetic. Brookes has a solo show coming up at Quint Contemporary Gallery in La Jolla, California this November. “I am preparing my largest and most ambitious paintings to date,” he states. “Lots of new colors, new ideas and exploding animals.” The psychedelic San Diego painter has a new series of works, which he plans to show in San Diego this November.
